Coming Soon: Children’s Books for Curious Minds and Big Imaginations

A tower that won’t stay standing. A question that leads to another question. A little adventure that suddenly feels very big.

Childhood is full of these moments, and they’re the inspiration behind the children’s books coming soon from Color and Chaos. We’re excited to share stories that welcome curious minds, celebrate creativity, and make room for the feelings that come with growing up.

Our upcoming illustrated children’s books bring together playful adventures, early learning, friendship, and everyday discoveries. Some invite children to look a little closer at the world around them. Others offer a reassuring place to explore frustration, belonging, or change. And some begin with a guinea pig and a runaway paper moon, because imagination deserves a little room to run, too.

Small discoveries, big possibilities

Learning doesn’t always begin with a lesson. Sometimes it begins with noticing something interesting.

In The Alphabet Treasure Hunt, familiar objects become opportunities to discover letters. Five for Supper brings counting to five into a story about helping and doing things for yourself. And in Juniper and Otter Take the Long Way Up, observation and teamwork are part of the adventure, with moments that invite young readers to join the search.

We love the idea of books that spark a conversation beyond the page. What did you notice? What would you try? What else can you find? Those little questions leave plenty of space for a child’s own ideas.

Room to try, room to belong

Not every childhood challenge looks big from the outside. But when you’re the one trying to build the tower, find your place, or learn something new, it can feel enormous.

A Tower for Rory explores the frustration of trying again and the value of recognizing your own progress. Pip in the Picture makes room for self-acceptance and belonging, while A House for Duck offers a story about kindness, listening, and helping someone in the way they actually need.

Everyone Goes Potty brings that same reassuring spirit to an everyday milestone, with a gentle approach to learning something new.

These are stories we hope families will enjoy reading together, not because every moment needs to become a teaching moment, but because sometimes a character’s experience gives a child a way to talk about their own.

Imagination, adventure, and a little heart

There’s room in this collection for both the wonderfully silly and the deeply meaningful.

Chocolate and the Runaway Moon follows a guinea pig superhero into an adventure involving a paper parade moon. Ada and the Paper Boat takes a gentler path, exploring loss, remembrance, and the love we carry with us.

Different stories, different feelings, and different ways for little readers to connect.

We can’t wait to share what’s next

Creating these books has reminded us how much possibility lives in a child’s imagination. A small discovery can become an adventure. A familiar feeling can become a conversation. A story shared together can become a moment worth keeping.

That’s what we’re excited to bring to Color and Chaos: children’s picture books with curiosity, creativity, and heart.

Our new books are coming soon. Keep an eye on our Books page and journal for previews and release updates. We can’t wait for you to meet these characters and discover their stories.
